3. Inspection
inspection of high speed steel turning tool:
(1) appearance: the surface of the turning tool shall be free of cracks, grinding burns, black skin and rust, as well as other defects that affect the service performance
(2) surface roughness: the roughness Ra value of the turning tool surface (excluding the end surface) should not exceed 3.2 μ m。
(3) perpendicularity: due to its high strength and good biodegradability, the perpendicularity tolerance of the side of the turning tool to the bearing surface is grade 12 (GB "provisions on shape and position tolerances without tolerance indications")
(4) straightness: the straightness tolerance of the prime lines of the side, bearing surface and cylindrical surface of the turning tool is 0.002l (L is the length of the turning tool)
(5) material: the turning tool shall be made of W18Cr4V or high-speed steel of other grades not lower than its performance, and its hardness shall not be lower than HRC63
(6) cutting test:
① cylindrical cutting test: rectangular and circular turning tools with square, h/b ≈ 1.6 or 2 are generally tested on an ordinary lathe. After 5min cutting test, the edge shall be free of edge collapse and significant dulling. The geometric parameters of the cutting part during the test shall comply with the provisions of article 3.1.1 of GB standard. During installation, the length of the blade tip extending outward from the tool rest shall not be more than 1.5h (H is the height of the turning tool). The ratio l/d of the length and diameter of the test piece shall not be greater than 10. The test material is 45 steel, the surface is descaled, and its hardness is Hb. Emulsified oil-water solution is used as the coolant during the test. The cutting amount shall be selected according to table 6-10-85
